What's the update to the Public Post Office meeting?

GOING POSTAL? Are you Going Postal because you heard the Redondo Ave Post Office is closing and ppl are losing jobs? It is NOT closing! Scroll to read about the May 27th meeting in Long Beach. (Here is the video by Granicus from the City Council Meeting in March: http://tinyurl.com/kwmbfg )

My personal ideas to fill the empty processing space that moved to Santa Ana: Request computer services, fax, same day services, videoconference rooms, gift wrapping (or at least sell the supplies!); install those slot-machine-like computer consoles to check email (like they have in Las Vegas businesses - NO chairs, either stand or roll-up in your wheelchair....Implement a V.I.P. Line in the lobby, eBay Connection (in addition to more eBay Seminars), wall phones with direction connection to Customer Service, expansion of Pick Up services (imagine the USPS employee at your house being able to answer a question about Stamps.com ?) USPS to hold meeting on services

Long Beach. The United States Postal Service will hold a public meeting May 27 on its decision to transfer outgoing mail from the Long Beach Processing and Distribution Center to Santa Ana in order to save $2.7 million.
Forty-eight postal jobs will be lost by the decision. Collection and retail services will remain the same. The meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Alvarado Elementary School, 1900 E. 21st St., Signal Hill. Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske has sponsored a City Council resolution opposing the loss of any services at the Redondo Avenue facility. Is this a Bogus or Real email from the IRS?

Preface: This email is true to those of us who have NOT yet filed for our tax refund from 2007... I received this from what seems like a legitimate email address from the IRS however those experienced on the internet know you should NEVER click a link
you're not sure of. I've driven down many a road never traveled previously but DANG if a bogus link is going to ruin my whole day - my whole computer! NOPE! I'm posting this not only to warn you but to SUGGEST A TEAM of 52 AUDITORS representing 52 states (ie. why not Long Beach's City Auditor?!) audit the IRS AND also each state lottery. We need to trim the fat and buckle up from the TOP down, DUH! - KaRi of ThePrimeSpot.com "It's not a business, it's a Pleasure!"

(Below is an email supposedly from the IRS. Note the mispelling of "wether"):

After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity
we have determined that you are eligible to receive
a tax refund under section 501(c) (3) of the
Internal Revenue Code. Tax refund value is $189.60.

Please submit the tax refund request and allow us 6-9 days
in order to IWP the data received.
If u don't receive your refund within 9 business
days from the original IRS mailing date shown,
you can start a refund trace online.

If you distribute funds to other organization, your records must show wether
they are exempt under section 497 (c) (15). In cases where the recipient org.
is not exempt under section 497 (c) (15), you must have evidence the funds will
be used for section 497 (c) (15) purposes.

If you distribute fund to individuals, you should keep case histories showing
the recipient's name and address; the purpose of the award; the maner of
section; and the realtionship of the recipient to any of your officers, directors,
trustees, members, or major contributors.
